Through an exhaustive audit of their existing efforts, we developed an editorial strategy and content plan to transform a chronological stream of consciousness into a reliable resource for aspirational creativity and endless crafting possibilities. This all came to life in Cricut Inspiration, a user-focused content hub that serves up ideas, tutorials, stories, news, and more to crafters everywhere.

Setting out to develop the new Cricut Inspiration, we identified an opportunity to better guide crafters throughout their creative process. Navigation on the existing Cricut blog left much to be desired, especially on mobile devices. While browsing for inspiration, visitors constantly had to start over from the homepage if they wanted to view a different project.
To help people explore the vast potential of DIY crafts, we simplified the process for navigating, finding, and browsing content. Our team designed colorful landing pages that highlight craft stories across each category of the homepage menu along with a new content tagging system that makes discovering other projects a breeze. Visitors can quickly find the content they need most—searchable by product, occasion, materials used, and more.
This new approach presents crafting stories in a compelling and organized way that draws people into the possibilities of crafting while providing the tools they need to be successful.

We also added a difficulty rating meter front and center on every how-to guide, so users can instantly know if a project matches their skill level. All of these enhancements worked to boost e-commerce sales while supporting crafters along their journey.
